Thanksgiving week is here! While most of the time will probably be spent inside with food and family, you may still want to know about some of the fun events in Lafayette, LA happening this weekend. Weekend Events
- The Children’s Museum of Acadiana is presenting “Disney’s 101 Dalmatians KIDS,” a live stage show based on the classic film.
- The Kiwanis of Lafayette are showing the movie, “Enchanted,” in the Parc International on Saturday evening. Bring your chairs and blankets to enjoy the movie outside.
- If you are willing to make a bit of a trek, the Louisiana Renaissance Festival is going on this weekend in Hammond, LA. The festival focuses on the 16th century with more than 600 entertainers, artisans, and presenters. There are booths with handmade creations, food, live music, live entertainment, and plenty of interactive presentations to take part in. There are live comedy shows like, “Robin Hood Presents…,” where the audience provides the soundtrack and suggestions of what the show will be. There are parades with Queen Elizabeth leading the way, glass blowing demonstrations, and classes on drums and bagpipes.
