The last weekend before Halloween is often filled with parties and trick-or-treating. In Lafayette, LA, there are plenty of cultural events and fun things to do this weekend (most not having anything to do with Halloween). If you are looking for something fun to do by yourself, with friends, or with the family, we have gathered a list together of some of the highlights. Our office can help you to schedule your next dental exam and cleaning, too!
Fun Things To Do
- Friday night at Parc Sans Souci, Downtown Alive! will feature the 40th anniversary show of Atchafayala. The band played their first show along the river on Halloween night in 1978. Can you believe that was 40 years ago? At the same time, Downtown Alive! (DTA!) Kids will be hosting entertainment for children at the Lafayette Public Library. There will be free educational activities, magic acts, animal character balloons, and face-painting. The event is free admission for all though there will be beverages available for sale.
- On Saturday night, watch Disney-Pixar’s Coco outside in the park. The movie showing is part of the Kiwanis of Lafayette Movies in the Parc series in association with the Asociacion Cultural Latino – Acadiana. Admission is $3 for adults and children over the age of 5. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
- Take the kids to see Paw Patrol Live, Race to the Rescue, this weekend at the Cajundome. The live show is based on the very popular cartoon. There will be shows on October 26th, October 27th, and October 28th.
We hope you have a great weekend!
